Humanities programme closures – support for members

The branch committee is very concerned about the University Portfolio Review’s announcement that the undergraduate programmes in English Literature and Linguistics, English Language, Philosophy, History and Creative Writing will be closed and taught out.

We are supporting our members in the Humanities Department, and have the support and advice of Regional Office.

If any members wish to discuss any concerns, in confidence, please contact your reps, Katrina Navickas, David Tree and Jo McDowell, or email uhucuoffacc@outlook.com

Members can also access independent support from the UCU’s partner, online on the Education Support Partnership website, and through the  24/7 telephone support line on 08000 562 561 (freephone).

We will fight against the closure of Humanities at UH.
