Online branch meeting, Wednesday 25 March at 1pm to discuss new workload allocation model

Dear members

We are holding a branch meeting to discuss the new University-wide workload allocation model and what it means for our individual workloads on Wednesday 25 March at 1:00pm. Full agenda and zoom link sent by email.

You can see what the new model means for you personally in WAMS (which stands for Workload Allocation Management System) here.

Our initial survey of WAMS reveals what appear to be significant numbers of staff with workloads over 100% – a serious stress management issue. There appear also to be inequities across Schools in how workloads are allocated. We are currently discussing and negotiating the new workload model with management but need as much input as possible from you so we cover as many issues as possible.

In advance of the branch meeting, we recommend that you access your workload via the above link and consider any issues such as roles or responsibilities not currently accounted for or that you feel are under or inequitably allocated. You can also email details to us ahead of the meeting.

Please diarise this important branch meeting and attend if you possibly can as the discussion will be key for our workloads next year, the management allocation of which is beginning this week.
